Kathleen Robertson Bio

Robertson changed from acting to screenwriting in the decade of 2010. In the year 2015, Robertson completed the Writers Guild's Showrunners Training Program, where she was taught by former WGA West president John Wells. [ In 2017 she began adapting The Possibilities, Kaui Hart Hemmings' sequel novel to The Descendents about a grieving Colorado mother who loses her son in an avalanche that he was skiing and begins a relationship with an unidentified young girl. She has written a feature drama based on Chris Cleave's novel, Little Bee starring Julia Roberts. Swimming With Sharks was her first television series. It's based off the 1994 Hollywood comedy film. The series is set to debut in 2020 on Quibi. She also wrote the comedy-drama pilot Your Time Is Up for Lifetime featuring Christina Applegate was attached to the show's main. From 1997 to 1999, Robertson was in a relationship with Gregg Araki, an independent filmmaker. Robertson has been married to Chris Cowles, a film producer since 2004. She gave birth to her first baby, a son called William Robert Cowles, on July 9, 2008 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Robertson gave birth in the month of October 2016 to Bennett her second child.
