Rosamund Pike

Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the only child of Caroline (Friend) (Friend), the classical violinist's mother as well as Julian Pike, an opera singer dad. Because of their jobs, she spent her childhood touring around Europe. Pike was a student at the Badminton School in Bristol, England and then began her acting career at the National Youth Theatre. Pike first appeared in a National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was signed by an agent following being observed. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. Although her debut film was a high-budget action movie however, the subsequent work was mostly in smaller independent films such as Promised Land (2004), The Libertine (2004), (for which she won the Best Supporting Actress award at The British Independent Film Awards) as well as Pride & Prejudice (2005), as one of the Bennet daughters. A brief appearance in Hollywood film was followed by the action movie, Doom (2005) as well as the thriller, Fracture (2007), but she returned to smaller films with exceptional performance in three films: An Education (2009) Then Made in Dagenham (2010), and the lead role opposite Paul Giamatti in Barney's Version (2010).As she continued her acting career in England, Pike appeared in the spy spoof, Johnny English Reborn (2011) as well as portrayed the role in the role of "Andromeda" in the sci-fi epic Wrath of the Titans (2012). Alongside Tom Cruise as her female role in Jack Reacher (2012), she was back in action films.
