Sofia Margarita Vergara, Spanish was born on the 10th of July 1972. She is an actress, presenter, producer, model, and television host from Colombia. Vergara was the highest-paid actress on American television from 2013 to 2020.Vergara was a star when she began hosting two shows on the Spanish-language television channel Univision in the mid-90s. Chasing Papi (2003) was her first role in a major role in English. The following year, she appeared in Four Brothers (2005) and Tyler Perry's comedy Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009) which earned her an ALMA Award nomination for the later. She first played Gloria Delgado–Pritchett in the ABC comedy series Modern Family, for which she was awarded four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and eleven Screen Actor Guild Awards. Vergara has also voiced roles in animated films Happy Feet Two (2011). Escape from Planet Earth (2013). and The Emoji Movie (2018). Vergara was also the highest-paid Hollywood actress in 2020. Vergara is a judge on America’s Got Talent since 2020. Vergara was the daughter of a Roman Catholic family from Barranquilla. [8] Her mother, Margarita Vergara de Vergara was a domestic worker, and her father, Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher in the meat industry. Her nickname was "Toti" by her siblings as well as many cousins. Vergara was a student for three years studying dental school at the National University of Colombia. But she chose to quit two semesters earlier to explore opportunities in show business and modeling.
