Tracy Spiridakos

 Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actress. She was the Teletoon child's comedy series Majority Rules' Becky Richards. between 2009 and 2010. In the following year, she was a part of Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic science fiction series Revolution between 2012 and 2014, for which she was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She played Annika Johnson on the A&E drama on television Bates Motel. Since 2017, Spiridakos has starred on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. playing the role of Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owner George Spiridakos and George Spiridakos, and George Spiridakos, both of whom were born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. The family moved to Skala in Greece, south-of Sparta, shortly after her birth. In 1992 the family came back to Canada. Spiridakos is incredibly at home with her Greek heritage, and she speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting when she was in junior high school and attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated from Oak Park High School. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She landed her first television role within a matter of weeks, a minor part with Supernatural. She continued to work in TV, and was able to get walk-on parts on Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos appeared in the TV film Goblin and in the web-based show Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos also appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009, she was cast in her first starring role as Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl who appeared on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! In 2011, she made her debut in feature films with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also filmed Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller written by Michael Greenspan. The film starred Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy and was directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags, the first Nickelodeon original movie. Spiridakos then was offered the main role in Revolution, as Charlotte Matheson (survivor in a dystopian future society) and telecast on NBC television. She was a candidate for the role when she attended her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos shot her pilot in Atlanta. The pilot season was shot in Wilmington, North Carolina. The actress was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television for her performance during the pilot however she was defeated by Anna Torv of Fringe's Anna. The second season of the show was shot in Austin, Texas.
