Natalie Dormer
(born 11 February 1982) is an English actress from England. She has won an
Empire Award and been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics Choice
Awards, as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading
(Berkshire) and made her television debut in the role of Anne Boleyn in the
Showtime series The Tudors. This role received a lot of praise. She made her
stage debut in the musical Sweet Nothings (2010). In Madonna's W.E., she played
the character of the Duchess and York. (2011), Private Lorraine in Captain
America The First Avenger (2011). The performance she gave in After Miss Julie
(2012) at the Young Vic was praised. Dormer gained international attention and
accolades for her performance as Margaery Tyrell in the HBO series Game of
Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in the two final segments of The Hunger Games
franchise (2014-2015), which rank as the highest-grossing of her films. She was
also the voice of Onica in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2018), Sara
Price Jess Price in The Forest (2016), and Irene Adler/Moriarty for the CBS
series Elementary (2013)-15. Her role as Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, a
miniseries about Penny Dreadful, was highly appreciated. Dormer was born in Reading
(Berkshire), England on the 11th of February, 1982. She is the daughter of Gary
Dormer, Claire Richards, and Samantha Dormer.
