Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond wigs and a pumped-up persona, shows how to prepare restaurant-style meals in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell studied and worked in the best New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love of cooking and food from a young age. After earning an English and Communication diploma in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the business of restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America. She says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute of American student. I was awed by every moment." Culinary Institute of America was a great opportunity to pursue a degree. Following graduation at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners chef Burrell took a full year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, which has had an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of children facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. She is a frequent guest to speak at conferences and tours across the nation as part of her mentorship role. Anne, throughout her entire culinary journey has stated that it's a pleasure to be able to share her passion for the food industry with people.
